Three models for three different ways to earn gold
Auction House crafting, material farming and Crafting Orders cannot share one headline margin. Each engine exposes its own cash flow, risk and stop condition.
Is this batch worth crafting?
Check how much gold returns after sales and how much stays in stock. Replace the example with your own numbers.
Sales left for the new batch
- Total cap

- Allocated to existing stock

Amounts and stock at material cost below belong only to the new batch. Sale proceeds, deposits and cost basis of existing stock are excluded.

Batch size that preserves your reserve
| Crafts | Requested batch | Batch within the cash budget |
|---|---|---|
| Crafts | - | - |
| Needed before sales | - | - |
| Gold immediately after crafting | - | - |
| New batch units sold | - | - |
| Wallet including the new batch result | - | - |
The affordable size is limited by cash and never exceeds the requested batch. It is not advice to produce the maximum. Prices, quality and listing duration must remain comparable; additional listings are excluded.
If prices or sales change
| Condition for one cycle | Profit on the sold share | Change in spendable gold |
|---|---|---|
| Your inputs | - | - |
| Price falls by 10% | - | - |
| Sell-through falls by 20 pp | - | - |
These are conditional checks, not market forecasts. Only the named input changes. Material cost does not guarantee the stock's future selling price.
How profit differs from cash
Cash change = proceeds after fees − materials for the whole batch − lost deposits. Profit = cash change + unsold stock at material cost. Stock cannot be spent until it sells.

After sales: review this batch and plan the next
Lock a separate batch before crafting. Up to 8 records stay in this browser. Add actual sales after one completed cycle; the original forecast stays unchanged.
Original forecast for the selected batch
Current inputs differ from this record. The outcome below belongs only to the saved batch.
New batch outcome for one completed cycle
Enter only the new batch: sales after fees without deposit refunds, and deposits not returned. Existing stock is excluded. If sales from different batches cannot be separated, do not enter combined sales as the new batch outcome. Materials and size come from the saved forecast.
A saved outcome cannot be overwritten. Check all three numbers before saving.

The button restores the inputs with the wallet and stock you confirm below. Recorded batch sales become a conditional total cap for the next calculation. They do not measure all sales of the item: review this cap, price and costs. Existing stock is allocated sales first.
Farm Liquidity: your real gold/hour
Listed price becomes effective GPH only after sell-through, the AH cut, expenses and relisting losses.

Crafting Order Floor: what your work needs to earn
Commission must cover crafter materials, expected recraft reserve and time that could have been monetized elsewhere.
The model does not assign a universal price to skill. Target GPH is your time opportunity cost and recraft reserve remains an editable expectation.

Examples: batches, farming and orders
Do not start with a profession. Start with today's decision.
Recipe margin, liquid farming, order commission, a profession reset and a new demand window need different models. Every card opens a prepared scenario or playbook.
The recipe sells in 70% of cycles
Test post-fee margin, break-even and capital at risk for a 20-craft batch.
Price fell 20% after new supply
See when a positive spread turns into negative expected margin.
A liquid material farm
Compare 3,420 listed GPH with the gold that actually clears the market.
An expensive item sells only 25%
Test monetization rate and the inventory left after a long session.
Commission covers skill and time
2,500 gold per order against materials, recraft reserve and your target GPH.
A large tip with expensive crafter reagents
Headline commission can fall below the economic floor after materials and time.
Should the profession reset be used now?
Choose a market role, demand proof and a test batch before changing Knowledge allocation.
A new season changes demand, not guaranteed margin
Use a small discovery batch and scale only after the first confirmed sell-through.
