The reset is a scarce option
Blizzard added one reset of spent Knowledge Points for each profession. It can repair an old plan, but it does not turn specialization into a costless testing environment.
Clicking first and searching for a market later allocates a scarce resource without an investment thesis. The correct sequence begins with role and demand.
Define the market role
Mass commodity crafting needs throughput and liquidity. Specialized intermediates need recurring demand from other crafters. Crafting Orders need customer flow, execution quality and commission above an economic floor.
One profession tree can look strong in isolation and still fail your time, capital or sales channel. Set the player path before the allocation.
Three proofs before the reset
Write down the buyer, the product and the expected purchase frequency. Estimate available capital and run a small market test where possible.
The reset becomes defensible when the new branch connects observed demand with your recipe access and time. If the old build already produces positive realized margin, change is not mandatory.
Replace the baseline with your inputs and get an answer for your scenario.
